The regional host controls which gateway handles your request, not which country the exit IP comes from. Egress country is controlled with the country-<code> modifier in your username — see Targeting.

Rotation modes

Rotating

A new IP is assigned on every request. Use for breadth — crawling many pages, distributing requests, avoiding rate limits.When to use: scraping, SERP collection, broad data gathering.

Sticky

The same IP is held for the lifetime of a session token. TTL is configurable per request via the ttl-<minutes> modifier.When to use: logins, checkout flows, anything requiring a consistent identity.

Pricing

When to pick residential

  • Targets actively block datacenter ranges
  • You need to appear as a normal home user (ad verification, social media automation)
  • You’re hitting sites with aggressive anti-bot defences (Cloudflare, PerimeterX, DataDome)
  • You need country, state, or city-level targeting
If you need raw speed and the target doesn’t discriminate by IP type, Datacenter is faster and cheaper per request.
