# Residential Overview

> 100M+ real home IPs across 180+ countries with country, state, city, and ASN targeting

The residential network gives you access to **100M+ genuine home IPs** across **180+ countries**. Ideal for workloads that need to blend with real human traffic — scraping search engines, ad verification, price monitoring, anything where datacenter IPs get blocked.

The regional host controls which gateway handles your request, not the egress country. Egress country is set via the `country-<code>` modifier — see [Targeting](/residential/targeting).

## Rotation modes

## When to pick residential

* Targets actively block datacenter ranges
* You need to appear as a normal home user (ad verification, social media automation)
* Aggressive anti-bot defences (Cloudflare, PerimeterX, DataDome)
* Need country, state, city, or ASN-level targeting
